About us
We speak for them
A Tail In Need is a nonprofit, family owned and run cat rescue organization committed to saving and improving the lives of cats in our community.
Our mission
Our mission is to provide temporary shelter, medical care, and love to cats in need, and ultimately find them forever homes.
Foster based since 2019
We were founded in 2019. We’re foster based, so every cat in our care lives in a volunteer foster home until they’re adopted.
In loving memory
Queen Gumbeaux
Queen Gumbeaux was the cat that started it all. She was our very first rescue, and she’s the reason A Tail In Need exists.
Every cat we’ve helped since then carries a little bit of her with them. We miss her every day.
What we do
Rescue
We take in cats who need a safe place to go.
Care
We give each cat shelter, medical care, and love in a foster home.
Rehome
We match each cat with a forever home that fits.
